Now I'm stuck in the second guardian of the tower. Its ability is just tricky to deal with. I feel like I'm relying on card draw, hoping that I get something that would boost my defense so I can block the returned damage of my own attacks.
Anyways, yeah, I'm stuck. I'm not really sure of other strategies on how to defeat this enemy...
If memory serves, the idea with that boss is to focus on healing between attacks. Try making sure you attack with an advantageous phase, then shift back to a defensive one by the end of the turn. Doing so will also heal you in the process, so it should be possible to stretch the fight on pretty long by playing conservatively with your cards.
Of course, if the damage is too high, you could also just attack while staying in a defensive phase, and just take the fight slowly.
It's a really, really good game. Definitely in the top 3 of my favorite RPG games.
Unfortunately, it has some bugs. For example, when you play a move that reduces your life to 1 as the finisher, next encounter, your life gets reduced to 1. The debuff carries over to the next fight.
And there's also this:
I'm not sure what it means, but the game crashed with that message. It's when I fight Militias, right when the battle UI would appear, that message appears.
In any case, I'll still love this game. The world-building is amazing, and I really love Lucid as a character. And, oh boy, the number of flavor texts there are... I love it. The story is enough, but maybe it's just my taste. The bugs do suck, but yeah.
I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the game so much, despite the bugs. I put my heart into this one, but there were just so many third party scripts running behind the scenes that it never quite worked flawlessly. There were never any unavoidable crashes reported, so I hope you were able to get past Militias in the end.
A lesson for other developers that I hope to take to heart in the future: keep it simple, make sure it works, and then build on it from there.
I'm not sure how to fix the Militias bug, and I've tried all I can think of. Except for making a new game, or redownloading the game. But I'm not sure if I want to restart my progress...
It works! I was able to defeat Militias, too. Thank you for the save file, btw.
I'm thinking about making a full review of the game once I'm finished, which could be a while since I'm pretty busy these days. Don't expect it to be good, though :p. I rarely do reviews.
